In1968 shirley chisholm becomes the first black woman elected to congress. In 1972 she becomes the first black woman to run for president. Shunned by the political establishment, she supported by a motley crew of black, feminist, and young voters. She was known for her incisive debating style and uncompromising integrity. She was widely considered one of the four most female orators in the united states.

This quote means so much to me because I believe that people fear the words from your mouth because in order for the people in power to stay in control, they need the majority of the population needs to be quiet.
