Noise In My Community
I live in East Flatbush, Brooklyn; the noisest neighborhood in the five boroughs. According to 311 noise complaints survey, my neighborhood has over 2,000 complaints. The main contributors, music, dogs, and honking of horns. Community Board 19 has addressed this and calls the police if a party music is too loud, once the time passes 1:00am. This has limited the amount of parties has taking place so far in the year. The question is how would the board respond once summer officially begins.
My solution: deal with it. You live in the city that never sleeps. There is always going to be someone up or about at all kinds of hours. This is what makes New York the place to live, if you don't like it, go someone else.
